South African pacer Kagiso Rabada has pushed India bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah off the top of the ICC rankings for Test bowlers in the latest update released on Tuesday.
Rabada’s nine wickets in South Africa’s seven wickets over Bangladesh in the first Test at Mirpur took him to the top of the standings. The right-arm pacer also reached the mark of 300 Test wickets during the game.

Rabada’s performance helped him jump three places and ended Bumrah’s reign at the top.

The 29-year-old Rabada first became the top Test bowler in January 2018 and lost it in February 2019.
Bumrah, meanwhile, slipped to third, behind Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood at No. 2. India’s veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is at fourth, followed by Australian captain and fast bowler Pat Cummins at fifth.
Pakistan spinner Noman Ali is the new entry in the top 10 and is ranked 9th.
Noman led Pakistan to victory in the second and third Tests of the home series against England, helping his team win 2-1. For Noman it is the highest placement of his career, he has moved up eight places.
Left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner, who played a crucial role in New Zealand’s winning performance against India in the Pune Test, has achieved his personal best.
Santner’s outstanding performance of 13 wickets in the match helped him move up 30 positions to reach 44th in the latest update of the Test bowlers rankings.
