Seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton couldn’t hide his delight at a recent Mercedes event where a brand new car design was unveiled.
Hamilton traveled to Mexico last week Round 20 of the 2024 F1 seasonbut before the race at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez he still had other commitments to fulfill.

Before his struggles on the track Mexican Grand PrixLooking relaxed and enthusiastic, Hamilton celebrated the release of a new Mercedes G-Class model – a car as robust as it is sophisticated, reflecting his long-standing partnership with Mercedes.
Hamilton beamed as he presented the updated G-Class alongside representatives from Mercedes-Benz.

Lewis Hamilton presents new Mercedes car
The SUV, known for its off-road capabilities and distinctive boxy shape, has received a number of improvements, including a redesigned grille that gives it an even more robust appearance.
The G-Class has a powerful range of engines with outputs between 270 and 330 kW (367 to 449 hp) and torque of up to 750 Nm, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds.
The new design reinforces its presence on the road, maintaining the classic G-Wagon profile while introducing sophisticated details.
The launch event came during a high-stakes weekend for Hamilton, who is currently in office Sixth in the drivers’ championship with 189 points.

Hamilton started sixth on the grid and made up ground as the race progressed, swapping places with his Mercedes teammate George Russell in a wheel-to-wheel duel.
Although Hamilton started behind Russell worked his way up to fourth placepassed Russell with a decisive maneuver in Turn 1 on lap 65.
Hamilton’s recent successes add to the momentum behind Mercedes’ latest release, which is expected to attract fans of luxury SUVs and off-road vehicles alike.
As the season nears its end, Hamilton’s fourth place in Mexico adds to his 12-point lead over Russell in the standings, although he remains 59 points behind Carlos Sainz, the man he will replace at Ferrari next year.
For now, however, Hamilton and Mercedes have reason to celebrate as they attract attention on and off the track with their state-of-the-art vehicles.
